Follow the colorful hand-painted wooden quilt blocks that dot the landscape to find Yadkin County experiences on the Yadkin County Quilt Trail! Yadkin County Quilt Trail is supported by the Yadkin County Tourism Development Authority and the Yadkin Arts Council. The quilt trail features unique quilt blocks on barns, buildings and houses in the County. The quilt trail purpose is to honor quilting traditions, beautify the community, promote cultural heritage tourism, farming traditions, and agritourism. The trail currently has 50 quilts lovingly painted and located on various barns and businesses throughout the county. More quilts are being added as interest increases. Step-on guide services are available for Yadkin County Quilt Trail tours, contact the Yadkin County Visitors Center for more information.
Those that are interested in being on the official Quilt Trail, contact the Yadkin County Visitors Center. You can make your own barn quilt, and once approved, be a part of the official quilt trail itself or we can furnish you with the names of folks who can make the quilt for you, using your choice of a pattern. There are no duplications of patterns along the trail.
A printed brochure and trail map have been produced using a portion of the proceeds from quilt trail fees. If you already have a barn quilt and it meets the trail requirements the cost for being on the trail is a one-time fee of $25. Certain trail restrictions apply. The new Yadkin County Quilt Trail Map has just been completed. Now is a perfect time for a drive on the quilt trail!
We have a few new quilt blocks that haven’t made it on the map yet.
